The seven Latin American countries of Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, El Salvador, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela are currently home to more than 55 MKLM missioners. International Free-Trade agreements have affected globalization and large-scale destruction of the environment. Missioners here are often involved in movements to protect poor and marginalized peoples from first-world exploitation.
