Here’s a fun game for you and some friends.
Many children in Thailand play this game. It is called “Gradai Kha Dee-o.” In English, that means “One-Legged Rabbit.” Here is how you play.
1. Mark off a square area where you can play safely.
You can use string or small rocks to show the boundaries of the square.
2. Gather your friends and make two teams that have the same number of players.
One team is called “Rabbits.” The other team has to remain inside the square area that you marked out. You can have one person on each team or 100 people on each team!
3.
The rabbits take turns hopping into the marked area. The rabbit in the square must hop on one leg and must try to touch as many of players inside of the square as they can.
4.
If one of the players inside the square gets touched by a rabbit, then that player is out. If one of the players inside the square goes outside of the area that has been marked off, then that player is out. Likewise,
the rabbit is out if he puts two legs down or changes legs.
5. If the rabbit gets tired, he or she can hop back to the start line and ask another rabbit to take his or her place.
6. The game is over when there are no players left in the marked area.
